This is a new section in which I'll post bits of information
about the movie that have not been confirmed nor denied by
Paramount or James Cameron.
If you know of some unsubstantiated news that should be added,
send me e-mail.
The second soundtrack will be out in late Fall with the
VHS/DVD release, and will feature pieces from Gaelic Storm
(the steerage band), I Sonalisti (the first-class orchestra),
and other pieces by James Horner. A remix of "My Heart Will
Go On" might also be included.
There might be a restored "director's cut" of the film
released on DVD and/or Laserdisc come fall 1998. This
extended version could have in it the cut scenes like
the dining saloon chase, more with Fabrizzio and that
girl, scenes with the Californian, and scenes on the Keldysh.
However, it looks like Cameron is leaning towards only
adding the scenes of historical interest, such as those
with the Californian.
The home video and DVD will be out in time for the
Christmas shopping season.
